It was so funny when the kids walked in to the living room and saw what Santa had brought them. Ty had a huge John Deer riding tractor, but all he could talk about was what Santa brought Leah. "Look Leah, you have a doll," "Leah you have a baby bed". Ryan and I just stared at each other laughing!! Finally we asked Ty about his present and he started to give it a little more attention. I guess you never know how a 3 year old is going to respond!
Pointing to Leah's gifts...
Leah starts playing and Ty is just staring...
He's getting closer, but still not there...
He finally made it over to his gift!
Sweet girl was SO excited about her doll!
Libby could barely contain her excitement
Time to move on to the stockings!
The reindeer food is gone!!
I can't handle the cuteness!!
Leah bought all of us gifts from the holiday shop at school. She was so excited about the mugs that she picked out for Ryan and I!
They took a little joy ride through the house in their pajamas!
After presents and breakfast, we headed outside. Growing up, Ryan and I both have fun memories of all of the neighborhood kids playing outside Christmas morning with their new toys. We love getting to do that with our own children now!
I must have been a good girl this year too, because Santa brought me a bike. Now we can finally go for family bike rides!
We had the best morning together. It was such a magical time watching the kids open their presents, but the most important part, was talking with the kids about why we celebrate Christmas. Not for Santa or presents, but for Jesus Christ; His birth and the gift of life that He brings to us. We are incredibly thankful for that gift that is given so freely to us. Merry Christmas!!
