Spring in January

Yesterday was the most beautiful January day! The temperature reached 76 degrees and the sun was shining bright! We took advantage of this weather and spent the day outside. We started off with a long hike through Erwin Park and ended the day on our favorite patio at Cristina's. It gave us a sweet taste of spring and now we are more than ready for that warm weather to come our way for good!

Sweet and Sassy Princesses

The weekend after Leah's official birthday, we invited some of her friends to Sweet & Sassy for a princess party! The girls had a blast getting all dolled up and heading down the runway. We are so thankful for these precious girls that hold such a dear place in our sweet girl's life.

Leah Grace Turns 7

On January 6th, our sweet Leah Grace turned 7! We cannot believe that our first born is already so old! It feels like just yesterday I was holding her for the first time:

We woke up bright and early on Leah's big day and took a quick birthday selfie before we left for school.

 "You know you're a teacher's kid when....you choose to eat in the cafeteria for your birthday breakfast!" We always walk in the cafeteria in the morning to get ice and water in my cup, and Leah always wants to stay and eat. I finally gave in for her birthday! 

That night, we had a yummy dinner celebration at Jin Beh!

 When we got home from dinner, we surprised Leah with a pink guitar. We then proceeded to look up guitar lesson videos on YouTube. 

We are so incredibly proud of Leah and how much she has grown over the past seven years! She is a kind, sensitive, loving, smart little girl and we love her more than she will ever know!
