R.I.P. Paci
So, the day has come for Leah's paci to go away. We didn't plan on doing it so soon, but at her 15 month appointment Tuesday, the pediatrician said we needed to go ahead and do it. She said that she could see that it was starting to effect her teeth. She gave us some ideas and Ryan and I went ahead and decided to try them yesterday. We cut the tips off of all her pacis. Now they don't work the way she wants them too, so she doesn't put them in her mouth. So far, it has gone okay. She has had a couple of major meltdowns, but we have survived. She is surprisingly sleeping really well without the pacifier. It is during the day that the meltdowns occur. So, we will stay strong and work through the tears. Ryan and I know that this is for the best and that after a few days (or weeks) she will not even remember why she ever wanted a paci in the first place!

Carrie, I need to get rid of Isaac's paci too. I am dreading it because he is so easy to put to bed and I know that it's going to be rough.....Congrats though for pushing thru. It sounds like Leah is well on her way to becoming paci-free. I thought I would maybe avoid the paci with Grace but it's just such a lifesaver so she is well on her way to loving her paci too.
