I think the part of the trip I was most excited about was the plane ride. It was Leah's first time flying and I could not wait to see her expression when the plane took off.
Waiting at DFW
She's ready!
Thank goodness for the iPad!
After we landed in Phoenix, we picked up our car and headed to Surprise. It was Sunday, so Courtney was already done for the day and was able to hang out with us. We went for a hike at White Tank Mountains and then out to dinner. It was a beautiful evening and such fun!
She gets more beautiful every day!
Courtney was giving Leah a little history lesson :)
After the game, we took our little fish swimming. She was obsessed with the hotel pool and couldn't get in there fast enough!
Random note: we never saw any other little girls with bows in their hair while in Arizona. I guess mamas in AZ are not as big into bows as the mamas in TX!
Tuesday we did a little Ranger shopping, play time at the park, and another baseball game.
There was a beautiful park right across the street from our hotel and the ballpark. We had so much fun playing there!
It was warm enough for raspberry snowcones!
Thankfully we were able to all go out to dinner on Tuesday night. We love Courtney and Jake dearly and we cannot be more excited about their sweet little boy that will be joining their family in July!
Look at Courtney's cute baby bump! We can't wait for that baby boy to join our crazy group!
Poor girl fell asleep again!
Wednesday morning we headed to Sedona. Ryan and I went last year and loved it and knew we wanted to take Leah there this time. We decided to rent our own jeep instead of taking the guided tour. It was awesome! Now we just have to figure out how to buy one of those for Ryan!
He looks pretty good driving that jeep!
Uh-oh, only 12 more years until we see this
We had some time to kill before bedtime, so we walked across the street to the fields and played a little baseball as a family. It is these moments that bless me the most. Getting to laugh, play, and talk to the most precious people in my life is a true blessing.
Thursday we packed up and headed back to Phoenix. We had a few free hours before needing to go to the airport, so we visited the Phoenix Children's Museum. It was the most amazing place. Ryan and I kept saying how much we wished there was something like that near us. Leah could have stayed there all day!
We made it to the airport with our little princess and headed home to see our Ty man!
Boo, vacation's over!
We are incredibly blessed and so thankful for precious friends like the Krugs who helped us make it to Spring Training two years in a row. We made such special memories with Leah this year and hopefully we can go again one year with Ty too!
