Leah's Birthday: January 6, 2010

We had such a wonderful day with Leah on her birthday last week! I took off work so that I could spend the whole day with her. I will definitely be doing this for all of our children until they are in school. It was such a special time for us. I snuck in Leah's room at 6:20 in the morning, the exact time she was born one year ago, and took a picture. Thankfully, so kept on sleeping! She actually slept until about 9:00. I guess turning one was hard work! For breakfast, I gave her a number one waffle to celebrate the day. Then we got all ready and went to meet Ryan for lunch. He is in paramedic school right now and had a test that morning so he wasn't able to take off with us. We enjoyed our lunch together and then ran a few errands and visited a few family members along the way.

After Ryan got off work, the three of us went to dinner at Chuck E. Cheese! Even though Leah cannot articulate her thoughts yet, we knew this is where she wanted to spend her birthday night! We had such a fun time and loved watching Leah take it all in.

This is how she sat the whole time we were eating. She was too interested in everything going on around her to eat.

"Where to Chuck E.?"

Working on our shooting skills
Showing Daddy where she wants to go next
Playing the water game
Driving with Bob the Builder
"Look, it's the big guy!"
With the sweet birthday girl
I cannot believe that our little angel is one! She has blessed our lives in too many ways to count. Just looking at her is a constant reminder of God's love and faithfulness. We are so proud of all the accomplishments Leah has made this year and we look forward to all the amazing things she will do in the future (just don't grow up too fast!).
