Green Waffles and a Boo-boo

Today was the first day in a long time that the three of us have gotten to sleep in and then just hang out around the house together. We didn't have to set an alarm which is one of the best feelings! I know it's silly, but when you get up at 5 every morning, sleeping in is like a luxurious gift! I made waffles for breakfast, but just for fun I added green food coloring. Why not? It was a fun change of pace and something that I think Leah will enjoy doing a lot more when she gets a little older. After breakfast, Ryan needed to study more so Leah and I played in the living room. While she was walking around (that's right, walking!) she fell on the entertainment center. I thought she just bumped her head, but she scratched the side of her face next to her eye. Poor girl looked like she got into a fight with a cat. Hopefully it will heal up pretty quickly before Christmas and birthday pictures! We had a great morning and I hope to have many more just like it over the Christmas break!

Playing in the kitchen while daddy studies.
Yummy!
Leah enjoying her green waffles. Don't you just love her crazy bed head!
Checking out the Christmas tree.

Showing off her battle scar. Poor baby!
