Leah slept until about 7:45 Christmas morning. Before we got her up, Ryan went in the living room and got the video camera ready. I got Leah out of bed and then let her walk down the hall to see what Santa left. It was so sweet watching her walk into the living room and see all the presents and not know what to think!

Ryan sat down with Leah and helped her open all the gifts. Much to our surprise, Leah wasn't that interested in unwrapping the gifts or playing with the paper. She actually enjoyed the toys and carrying around the clothes. I guess she knows what the good stuff is!

Leah got her first real baby doll. She was pretty excited!

I cannot even describe how happy this picture makes me every time I look at it. The excitement in Leah's face is just too sweet! She was pulling out gifts from her stocking and was loving it!

It had snowed almost all day on Christmas Eve, and it all stayed through the day on Christmas. Ryan and I have never had a white Christmas, so it was fun for all three of us! We had to make sure to document this for Leah so that just in case it never happens again, she will know that her first Christmas was white!Out front in her new wagon

Christmas morning was such a special time for Ryan and I. Last year at this time I was 37 weeks pregnant and imagining how wonderful it would be next Christmas with Leah. Well that time has come, and it was even better than either of us could have imagined. We look forward to sharing the true reason for the Christmas holiday with Leah and having her take part in celebrating Jesus' birth. We want her to enjoy the "magic" of Santa Clause, but always know that Jesus is the true reason we celebrate. Leah is the best gift we could ever ask for and are so thankful for the life we have with her!
