Our little Leah Grace is growing up so fast! On Thursday we bought her a new car seat, her first sippy cup, and fed her avocado for dinner. It was a long day of car seat shopping! We looked on the Internet first, then headed over to Babies R Us. We didn't get a whole lot of help from the workers there, so we went to Lone Star Baby. They helped us so much and we felt like now we could make a more educated decision. We found one car seat there that we liked, but we had a coupon for Babies R Us, so we headed back there. Thankfully, they had the same one just in different colors. So we bought that for our precious girl! She rode in it today for the first time and really seemed to enjoy it. She had more space and was sitting up more. Those were the two big reasons why we needed to go ahead and get her a bigger seat.
Leah is really interested in cups these days. She loves to lick the sides of cups and try to drink out of them. It is funny how excited she gets about this! Her eyes get really big and she reaches her hands out towards the cup. We decided that maybe she would like her own cup, so we bought one while we were out yesterday. She did a great job of grabbing it and after Ryan helped her a few times, she managed to get it into her mouth. After a little more practice, I know she will be a pro at drinking out of it!
At Leah's 6 month check-up, the doctor gave us the green light on feeding Leah baby food! We decided to start with avocado. I mashed one up and crossed my fingers. She ate it really well. She made a few crazy faces, but she always came back for more. I am planning on making Leah's baby food, so it should be fun trying out new flavors and textures!

She is such a happy baby! You are really on the ball about the carseat. We just got Isaac converted over from his carrier. So much easier. Loved the pictures of your adorable little Leah!
