Baylor Day Trip

The day after Lindsey's wedding, we decided that we needed a little family time away from home. So of course, we headed down I35 to Waco and our favorite Baylor University. I will take any excuse to go down to Baylor! There is just something about walking around that campus that calms me. I have such incredible memories there and I just pray that my children can find a college that gives them that feeling of home too!

We started the day off with a trip to the bear pit. Unfortunately, the bears were not out :(

 When I look at this pic, I can just picture them at Baylor together in 15 years!! 

 I showed the kids the education building where I spent most of my time at Baylor. 

We went to a baseball game while we were there. The weather was beautiful and the kids loved it!

After the baseball game, we walked across the bridge to the new football stadium. This is the first time I have gotten to see it in person, and WOW it is incredible!! Leah wanted her picture with RGIII

We sent this picture to my dad asking him to change departments and be a Baylor police officer so that the kids could go for free! In my dreams, right?!

We had to hit up Spice while we were there for a little shopping!

We grabbed dinner at Ninfas

And no trip to Baylor/Waco is complete without a trip to Common Grounds! The Frozen Milky Way is the best drink ever!! It's so funny how every Baylor grad I talk to has the same deep love for CG!

He loves me and puts up with all my picture taking!

Oh Baylor, you were so good to me! Of course I would LOVE for Leah and Ty to go to Baylor one day, but my prayer will always be that they find the place where they can thrive in their education, in their relationship with God, and where they will find their very closest friends.
