Are We Still in Texas?

Last night the weather went crazy again and 5+ inches of snow fell in McKinney! It rained all day on Wednesday, then started sleeting, and finally started snowing. It was wild! Spring Break is next week and we are still having snow days off of school!

Before I went to bed on Wednesday night, I went outside to take a quick picture. This was taken around 11:45pm. It was so beautiful and peaceful!

Ryan had to work today, so the kids and I woke up to the beautiful winter wonderland outside, bundled up and headed out to play. We didn't last too long, but it was fun while it lasted!

Libby was a little confused when I let her out this morning

The Texan's version of getting "snowed in"! Ha!

Our neighborhood is only a little over a year old and half of it is still unfinished. There are wild rabbits that still make their home here and this morning we found their little footprints all over the place!

Libby was keeping a close eye on us!

Our pathetic snowman! Hey, the kids were satisfied with it and that's all that mattered!

After we came in, we warmed up with hot chocolate and watched Frozen (of course).

Today's snow day was very unexpected, but oh so welcome!! Now we are ready for Spring to really arrive!
