Baby, It's Cold Outside

Our two-day weekend turned in to a four-day weekend due to lots of sleet and ice that moved in on Monday morning. We don't really have "snow" days, but ice can shut down the city pretty quickly! I feel like these days couldn't have come at a better time. Having two extra days confined to the house with my precious loves, is exactly what this mommy needed!! We played games, watched movies, ate a lot, cleaned the house, washed clothes, and just spent some sweet time together.

On Monday, we stayed inside most of the day, but once the sleeting stopped we headed out for a little slippery fun! Ryan used the top of our garbage can to make a little sled for the kids (and me)! We were frozen by the time we made it back inside, but we had the BEST time!

To our surprise, we got a text late Monday night cancelling school for Tuesday! Tuesday was a very low-key, pj's all day, kind of day! We started off with making waffles from scratch. My little chefs are just the cutest!

I know I'll be sad when we have to make these days up in the Spring, but I wouldn't have traded these past few days for anything!
