This summer Dallas was hosting a "Summer Adventure at Fair Park" on the park grounds, so we decided to give it a try and had the best time! For one price we got unlimited rides and admission to the aquarium and butterfly gardens. It was pretty hot, but we tried to stay in the shade as much as possible, let the kids splash in the water, and enjoy the AC when we could.
Our first ride was the flying elephants. Leah would only ride if one of us rode with her. It was easier for me to fit in the little rides, so momma got the honor of riding :)
My parents have a picture of me riding a motorcycle ride just like this when I was about Ty's age. It was funny to see him do it too!
It was crazy how empty the place was. On most of the rides, we were the only ones riding!
Ryan got to go on one of the rides too! I love how he was holding Ty's head the whole time. Such a good Daddy!
We never pay to ride the Sky Rail during the fair, so it was fun getting to ride it for the first time.
Cooling off in the water
Enjoying the AC and the awesome ocean animals in the aquarium
Leah had the best time looking at the butterflies and finding them on the illustrated page.
This is the sign of a great, fun-filled day!
