DOC Band Baby

At Ty's two month well check, the pedi noticed a few flat spots on his head. She suggested repositioning and a few other things for us to try at home to help with his head shape. So, we tried all of those techniques, but over the next two months Ryan and I noticed his head shape getting worse. At Ty's four month well check, the pedi agreed and she sent us to Cranial Technologies to get evaluated. At the evaluation, the clinician confirmed Ty's need for a DOC band. The problems that Ty had were not going to correct themselves and could possibly get worse over time. He also had neck tightness that was causing asymmetry of his face. Ryan and I decided to go ahead with the DOC band. Ty will wear it for 23 hours a day until his head shape is corrected. Every child's head grows at a different rate, so they cannot give us an end date. We will just take it a day at a time! After only five days, we can already see a difference. It is crazy to see how fast a baby's head grows. In two weeks, we will be getting his band wrapped by 360 Wraps. They have a "charity" called Wrap Buddies where they professionally wrap the DOC bands for free! We are so excited to pick a design and see it on Ty's band.

The time will fly by!! Cooper had it and we were AMAZED at how fast his little head grew. They told us that it would be 3-6 months and we were out of it right at 12 weeks. Cooper's neck was also tight and doing the same thing to his face and the band helped so much! Hope that your time goes by fast!
