The past seven days have been such a whirlwind! The three of us have been very busy with holidays, work, errands, and home life.
Last Saturday we took Leah to get her 3 month pictures taken. We also decided to have a family picture taken. It was so much fun! I cannot believe how fast our little girl is growing. She was smiling and talking all through the photo shoot. Here are a few of our favorites:
Sunday was Easter. Leah got to wear her very first Easter dress. I look forward to shopping for many more Easter dresses in the future! Having Leah makes everything seem so much sweeter and I am so thankful that God sent his son to die on the cross and rise again for my daughter, husband, and I so that we can spend eternity together with Him. We visited both sides of the family in the afternoon and then spent the evening together hanging around the house.
Monday was my first day back at school since December 18th. It was so hard to leave my sweet baby. Thankfully our family and friends have graciously offered to watch her for the eight weeks that are left of the school year. Knowing that she is in such loving hands makes it a little easier for me to leave her. The week went pretty well. We are definitely having to adjust to a different schedule now. Now I know how Ryan feels everyday. You live for the evenings and weekends. I love teaching, but I sure miss my baby girl during the day!
On Tuesday Leah decided that she would start holding her right foot when she lays down. It is so funny how her hand and foot just find each other. Now that she has figured it out, she is constantly grabbing her foot, curling her toes around her fingers, and holding on!
Today I attended the HEB ISD job fair. It went pretty well, but I will have to wait a few weeks to see if I get called in for any interviews. I love my school in Irving, but the commute is really hard now that I have to drop off and pick up Leah from child care. I also am interested in teaching in the community that our children will grow up in. I have just given it up to the Lord and have asked Him to show me where I need to be. So I will just have to wait and see if I will stay in Irving next year or move closer to home.
