Hometown Vacation: Part One

Ryan is off all this week and instead of going away on a mini vacation, we decided to enjoy our time together at home. All three of us have been sleeping in every morning and then finding fun things to do around the area. On Tuesday we ran errands, ate lunch at Chili's, and had movie night. On Wednesday, we thought we would try and outsmart the weather and take a trip to the Ft. Worth Zoo. Unfortunately the weather won and it poured the entire time we were there. Thankfully Leah got to see the gorillas and reptiles before we left. At least it was half price day! We look forward to taking her there again when the weather cooperates a little more. Leah did get a new pair of shoes and bow for her first trip to the zoo, so it was not a complete loss! Today we ate lunch at my favorite spot, McAlister's Deli, then went to North East Mall to get Leah's picture taken with the Easter Bunny. She did great! She is not old enough yet to be scared. I am interested to see how she does at Christmas with Santa! After that we went to Babies R Us to buy a present for her Aunt Lauren and baby boy cousin that will be joining the family in May. When we got home today Leah decided that she would help Mommy and Daddy with dinner. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful little girl. We are enjoying this special time that we can spend as a family.
