Welcome to the World Leah Grace!

Well, Leah decided that she wanted to pick her own birthday! I began having mild contractions during the day on Monday January 5th, but they were far apart so I did not think too much of it. Then around 6:00 that evening, I started keeping count of the contractions because they began to get a little stronger. I had contractions all night and finally told Ryan we needed to head to the hospital around 3:30 Tuesday morning. When we arrived at the hospital, I was dilated to 3cm and fully effaced! They called my doctor and she came up for the c-section. Leah was born at 6:20 am Tuesday January 6th. She was 7 pounds 14 ounces and 20.5 inches long. The surgery went better than I could have ever imagined. The recovery is going really well too! Leah is absolutely beautiful and such a blessing to Ryan and I. We are in awe of this precious little girl and look forward to the life we have ahead of us!
